So many of us teens watched the story unfold on TV in the mid 60s (1964-1969).  I, for one, was very happy about the show as my name was no longer followed by such quesstions as "is that your first anem or last name".  Allison MacKenzie  gave me that break ;-)  So many stars broke out from this show to go on to bigger and better things such as Mia Farrow, Ryan O'Neal and Barbara Parkins.  I was in high school at this time and my teacher found it funny to always call n me and the boy who sat next to me in class whose name just happened to be Rodney.
