A few years ago, I was teasing some young coworkers. I said, you guys have your snoop dog, and p. diddy. Back when I was a kid we had Augie Doggy and Doggy Daddy, WAY ahead of our time

I always thought that Jimmy Durante did the voice of Doggie Daddy. Typical conversation: Doggie Daddy: "Augie, my son, my son." Augie: "What is it, dear old dad?"
