What a beautiful car! My dad owned a white 1961 Thunderbird, which was the first model year of this design, and I loved it! The 1963 version above was it's last model year. What an innovative automotive design!  He said it was supposed to look like a rocket or a bullet (sleek and fast) going down the road, and it sure did! What a beauty! He was an interior designer (clay modeler) for Ford and worked for them for 53 yrs! He even met and spoke to Henry Ford himself, while working there! I remember him taking me to his workplace and showing me how they'd make a full-sized automobile, to scale, made entirely of clay, right down to the last detail! It was truly amazing! He was 73 yrs old when he retired in 1992, before passing away in 2009 at the age of 90. What a talented man!  :-)
