freddo30...those vintage LIFE magazines once thought useless are now collector's items...I've picked up a few at local gun shows for 1 or 2 bucks each...quite a premium when the original price was 10 cents!!! I bought one (dated 11 Feb 1966) with the picture of SSG Harrison Pell (who spoke to my Basic training class in Juned of 1971) for 3 bux...I thought it was a huge bargain...these old magazines bring back such memories...even more interesting are the ads...(IMHO)

I've got a ton of these from the WWII era ; a friend of mine had an optician shop and these were by far the most popular reading material until Wal-Mart opened their place nearby and put him out of business

Remember...

That's life.
What's life?
A magazine.
Where do you get it?
At the newsstand.
How much is it?
Ten cents.
I only have a nickel.
That's life.
