CJ...I was introduced to the 'puck bowler' at a joint in Paterson, NJ, right behind the Seton Hall University campus, called Spina's Town Tavern...it was the first time I'd ever been inside a bar...I got addicted to that game...and to crushed red pepper flakes by my Italian buddy, Carmine...first had it on a meatball sub...I'd go there between classes order a sub and a coke ands lay on the pepper flakes heavy...used to cover the bowling surface with the special powder...got fairly good at sliding the puck and scoring...certinly better than I ever wass with a real bowling ball...great memories...I'll be 67 in November, BTW...

@freddo30 - That's what I like about this sight...someone's comment will spark a long forgotton memory. I loved the "Puck Bowler". They always had the shaker can of fine sand to sprinkle on the lane to help the puck glide.
I'd give my left arm (need the right for bowling) to buy yours - but I'll soon be 66, so it would be kind of pointless. Besides, if it can't be hooked to an HDTV and the internet - the kids don't want it left to them. LOL

Pictured Shindig is from 1953. I'm a collector/repair guy (you have to be) and have owned over 40 different titles built from 1940-1976 ; sold off all but my favorite 8 since I'm 60 now and will probably die soon and can't leave my survivors with 2 tons of machinery ... kept my puck bowler and pitch-and-bat as well.

I had an array of fire arms and lived on more than 100 acres. Now that is being more popular than flippin' pin balls. lol

Always wanted one... parents didn't spring for one though. If you did have one, you were the most popular kid on the block!
