The link above didn't work so here's another one that includes a short ad by the sponsor, Nabisco. Sky King intro Does anyone else remember when Oreos came in packages of just two rows of cookies, like the one shown in the clip?

My siblings and I met Sky King on one of his publicity tours way back when.  I still have an old black & white photo of us standing with him next to his plane, Songbird.

In the summer of 1956 my sister and I were standing in a crowd of kids in an auditorium at the Ohio State Fair to see "Sky King and Penny". While up on the stage Sky King and Penny were throwing packets of Nabisco (their sponser) cookies and crackers into the crowd. At this time, I had turned around to see where our parents were and when I turned back to the stage, a cellophane wrapped missile of baked goodness hit me in the face. My first brush with greatness, at the tender age of five.
