The name of our "Sooner Hound" was Beasly.  If I ever knew why, I've forgotten the reason for that name since then.

Our Sooner Hound's name was Tippy but Dad would call it "Handyman". When asked why?, he would say, "because it does 'odd-jobs' around the house."

Yeah, we had a "Sooner Hound" also, but my father would say "He'd sooner be out when he's in, and sooner be in when he's out!"

The best pets were the "Heinz 57" dogs. We had a lovable mutt. Whenever anyone asked what type of dog it was, my dad would say, "He's a Sooner Hound - he'd sooner pee in the house than out side."
