Yes, manual scoring was much more satisfying. With the automatic scoring, it feels like you're working for the machine, as opposed to the other way around.
Nope, I'd missed that. Good catch! (Although he could have thrown a gutter ball for his first attempt and picked up the spare; that would explain both the score and why the X is not in the left-hand box... but would a player who can bowl in the 170s throw a gutter ball??)
If the "X" in the 6th frame of game #2 represents a strike, that bowler's total should've been 174 vice 173. Did anyone else notice?

With my poor vision, bowling was one of the few sports in which I could participate fully. I joined a league when I first moved to California, averaging around 150, but actually bowled a 264 once.
