The term 'Batman' means, in the English usage, an orderly, butler or servant...usually to a military officer...not a dude in a mask weaing a cape...

I never learned to whistle the "correct" way, and could only do so through my teeth. But I could do it on the side of my mouth with my lips nearly closed. I'd be standing in line somewhere, or sitting at my desk in high school taking an English test, and I'd start whistling this tune. People would look around and get very confused, 'cause they didn't see anyone doing it. I taught some friends to do it, and together we drove our English teacher crazy as she tried to pinpoint the culprit.

I'd tell people that I was whistling through my ears, and would "demonstrate" this, completing the process by nonchalantly drinking a glass of water while continuing to whistle. I told them it was easy to learn: you'd simply put marbles in your ears, another marble each day, until one day all the marbles would fall out, and when you'd lost your marbles, you could whistle through your ears.

Sadly, dental work over the course of the years has left me nearly toot-less.
