Snow Pants
The ONLY time girls wore pants was in the winter.
Snow Pants
There were two styles. Those with elastic waistbands worn under
the skirt/dress, and those with straps worn over the skirt/dress.

@LoyalTubist - That sounds about right, 1969. My high school had a walkout protest over allowing girls to wear slacks to school (we didn't call them pants when worn by girls). Girls won the right to wear slacks but for whatever reason, couldn't wear jeans - the boys could, but not the girls. It took another two years before the school relented and allowed girls to wear jeans. It sounds crazy nowadays but that's the way it was back then. Oh, and the jeans couldn't have rivets - the thought being that rivets would damage the furniture. LoLoyalTubistyalTubist

1969 was the year girls and women could wear something besides skirts or dresses to school or work.
