I too remember the dots/LSD scare. There were less trick or treaters one Halloween-not sure what year.

@Sir Garreth - Back in the 70's there were "alarmists" warning us that there was LSD in virtually everything. I remember reading articles warning people NOT to lick envelopes to seal them but to use a dampen Q-Tip to wet the glue due to the possibility of it being laced with LSD.

I had to chuckle when I read the line about you being in elementary school in the 70's. In the 70's I already served time in the military, married, and had a child. LOL

I remember a scare when I was in elementary school in the 70s.  Letters went home about these possibly being laced with LSD.

Remember the "doctor kits" lol. The dots came in light pastel colors as shown. Can't remember if each color had its own flavor though.

Always kept a supply of these in the Doctor Kit we had as kids. They were the pills we administered.
