APBA American Saddle Racing occupied my desk 24/7 for several years back in the 70's... Typically took a half-hour or so to actually "run" a race... I had several year's horse cards plus the Hall Of Fame set (or whatever they called that).
I'd run a race after school most days, and a few on the weekend...
I was intro'd to APBA by a guy I knew in high school... His game was baseball.
